When it comes to summer, I always go for clean and lightweight makeup that will give me a natural look. To achieve this, I usually stick with lightweight creams and liquids, which I have found are easier to apply.
While I am never one to shy away from trying new products, I have stayed pretty consistent with my summer makeup routine this year. These are my go-to summer makeup products for a glowy and natural look.
Note: These products are listed in the order of application along with the shade I use in each product.
Sunscreen – I remember my dermatologist telling me that if you don’t apply sunscreen, the rest of your skincare routine is all for nothing. Needless to say, sunscreen is quite important. I have tried countless sunscreens throughout the years and I never really found one that I loved, until now.
This sunscreen is not only extremely lightweight and protective, but it also doubles as a primer, leaving your skin with a natural finish and the perfect base for makeup.
Primer – With this sunscreen, a primer is not really necessary. But if I am ever doing a full face of makeup for an event or special occasion (sometimes just for fun) this primer leaves my face feeling hydrated and makes my makeup last so much longer than it does with just a sunscreen base.
SPF Skin Tint – I have never been a foundation type of gal. I’ve just never liked the feeling of heavy makeup on my face. That said, I still like some coverage to even out my skin tone. This skin tint has been my go-to for the past few weeks. It is perfectly lightweight and has SPF 40! Definitely going to be repurchasing.
Concealer – A lightweight concealer that still provides full coverage. Plus this concealer has caffeine in it to help energize and depuff your skin, perfect for the baggy morning eyes.
Bronzer (Power Boost) – A bronzer stick that gives your skin a beautiful sunkissed glow. This bronzer stick is super easy to apply and blend, great for when you are on the go.
Cream Blush (Whisper) – Cream blush has quickly become one of my favorite trends. It is so easy to apply and a little goes a long way. I like to dab a little bit along my cheekbones and blend it out with my fingers.
Highlighter (Sunglow) – A highlighter serum that leaves your skin looking naturally dewy and bright. You can mix this highlighter serum in with your everyday lotion or apply it directly to your face for a glowy effect.
Eyeshadow (Sunbeam) – A cream eyeshadow that is long-lasting and will leave a metallic finish with the blend of your fingers. Sunbeam is the perfect summer color and my current favorite.
Brow Pencil – When it comes to my brows, I like to keep them as natural-looking as possible. This brow pencil has a fine tip that creates strokes that mimic brow hairs. Also comes in a mini size perfect for travel.
Mascara – I am always a little skeptical of mascaras because I don’t want to end up with spider lashes when the mascara is too clumpy (it has happened before). But, I recently purchased this mascara and I am loving it! It lengthens your eyelashes but keeps it natural and doesn’t clump up.
Setting Powder – If you are looking for a lightweight powder that will give your face the desired “matte finish”, this is that powder. I have been using this powder for months and I keep going back to it. A favorite to say the least.
Lipstick (Humble) – No makeup look is ever complete without lipstick. I usually like to stick with pinkey nudes like this one. A hydrating matte lipstick that doesn’t dissapoint.
