Pin me for later!
Over the past couple of months from working at home, I have acquired some items that have made my life easier or more comfortable.
And because so many people have had to create their own home offices this year, I thought I would share my absolute favorite work from home essentials to help you create a more comfortable and productive work environment during these crazy times.
1. Blue Light Glasses
These glasses are one of my absolute favorite accessories I use when working from home. Ever since I started using these glasses, I have noticed that I don’t get headaches anymore from staring at screens for an extended period of time.
They also make me feel so studious when I wear them. 😉
2. Planner
I am a total planner fanatic! One of my favorite things to do is plan out my week and lay everything out in my planner. I especially love this planner because it is beautifully designed and has a bunch of different places to write down your to-dos and plan out your entire day in detail.
Along with the planner itself, I also really love the brand and have been using several of their products for years now. If you are looking for an aesthetic planner that will help you keep organized and on top of things, then this is the perfect planner for you!
3. Diffuser
This stone diffuser is so beautifully made! I keep this guy at my desk and use it constantly. It really helps me to relax and set the mood, which is especially perfect when you are having a stressful day.
I will say, this diffuser is a little pricey. But it has lasted me several years and is completely worth the money if you ask me. If you are looking for a more affordable option, this diffuser from Amazon is great and has stellar reviews.
4. Noise-Canceling Headphones
Noise-canceling headphones are one of the best work from home essentials! These headphones will help you drown out any noises and/or distractions keeping you from being productive and getting your work done.
These headphones are really comfortable and something I highly suggest you give them a try. They are also really affordable!
5. Cozy Joggers
I don’t know what I would do without my joggers keeping me warm and cozy. The best part is, I don’t feel lazy when I wear them like I would with pajamas. But at the same time, they are just as comfortable as a pair of super-soft pajama pants.
These joggers are something everybody needs! Trust me, you’ll thank me later. 😉
6. Coffee Warmer
One of my favorite quarantine purchases has been this coffee warmer. Keep this gadget plugged in at your desk, and all you need to is place your coffee cup on top of it to keep your drink warm.
This is such a game-changer!
7. Computer Stand
I never realized how beneficial computer stands were until I purchased one myself.
Since I bought this computer stand, I realized my posture has improved (because it kind of forces you to sit up straighter), and my computer has stopped having to turn its fan on to prevent it from overheating. This computer stand is a great buy!
8. Water Bottle
This water bottle is by far my favorite from all of the ones I have tried. Whether you’re drinking a cold or hot beverage, this water bottle will maintain your drink’s temperature for hours. Another amazing thing about this water bottle is its “chug cap”.
I know it sounds kind of weird, but the “chug cap” is an amazing feature, I don’t know why more water bottles don’t have this type of lid. If you want to twin with me, you can get the ice pink color, my personal favorite!
9. Echo Dot
Echo dots are so helpful! Whether you want to listen to music, find out what the weather is like, or even play some white noises in the background while you work, this echo dot can do it all. It’s like having a super-smart personal assistant with you 24/7.
She may be small, but she’s mighty!
10. LED Desk Lamp
This best-selling LED lamp is a great accessory to have at your desk. Not only does it look super nice and clean, but it also has different brightness settings.
This is such a nice feature for people who stay up late at night (me) working because you can turn the brightness of the light down, so it’s not as harsh on your eyes.
Three Helpful Tips for Working at Home
Before we wrap up this post, I wanted to give you a couple of my favorite tips that help me to stay productive and get lots of work done while working from home.
1. Take breaks -This is such an important thing that shouldn’t be overlooked, although it often is. In order to keep your motivation and productivity levels high, give your mind a rest. I take 20-30 minute breaks every couple of hours.
2. Keep a tidy space -I don’t know about you, but whenever my workspace is messy or cluttered, I can never focus on my work. To prevent this, take 10 minutes each morning (before you start your day) to tidy up your desk or wherever you work.
3. Plan out your day -For maximum efficiency, I always take time in the morning, or the night before, to plan out my entire day using this planner. I make a list of everything that needs to get accomplished, and when I am going to complete it. That way, I have no excuse for not completing my work.
I hope you found some new work from home essentials to add to your list, along with some helpful tips to incorporate into your work from home routine for maximum productivity.
