It’s always nice to be reminded how much you mean to someone – and a cute little gift to celebrate your favorite gals is the perfect way to do that!
These little cups are SUPER easy and actually really fun to put together! You might even want to get supplies so you have an extra to keep for yourself – because they’re just so darn cute!
I’m going to walk you through exactly how to create your own Valentines gift for friends, or you can just copy my blueprint (I wouldn’t blame you 😉). Either way, you’ll be left with the perfect gift idea to surprise your friends with.
And let me tell you, all of your girlfriends will go crazy over this gift! It’s thoughtful, but it’s also filled with such cute and useful items that they actually want!
Alright, now let’s get into the process of actually putting together this adorable gift!
This post is all about the best Valentines gift for friends that is cute, easy, and everyone’s favorite gift to receive.
How to Create the Best Valentines Gift for Friends:

COPY THIS IDEA
This is my go-to when I want to give my friends a little something, without going overboard. It’s also super easy to customize for all of the different holidays. Although I will say, this Valentine’s Day version has got to be one of my favs (I mean just look at all of the cute pink goodies)!
Step 1: Choose a Theme or Color Scheme
This step isn’t absolutely necessary, but I’ve found that choosing a theme, or at the least a color scheme, will help guide you and make the whole gift look so much more put-together (presentation is everything!).
Pink and red are the obvious choices for Valentine’s Day, but you can always get creative and put your own spin on this gift.
And if you’re trying to rack your brain for ideas, you might want to head over to ChatGPT to help you brainstorm ideas. I try not to use ChatGPT for a lot, but when it comes to coming up with clever theme ideas for a gift, I have to admit, they’re pretty darn good!
Step 2: Pick a “Container”
Okay, after choosing your theme or color scheme, the first thing you want to do is a choose a container for your gift. I always recommend doing this before choosing the actual items to go inside your cup or basket, so you know exactly how much room you have to work with.
There are so many cute options for how to put this gift together! The baskets are definitely on the less expensive side compared to the cups, but it also doesn’t take as many products to fill up the cups (so it’s kind of a trade-off).
Step 3: Gather Your Items
I don’t know about you, but this is my favorite part of the whole process… choosing the goodies! In order to make sure I’m creating a well-balanced gift, I always like to choose a one or two items from different categories.
For example, I’ll choose one sweet treat, one or two fun items, and a stuffer to fill the gaps and make sure everything is propped up nicely.
Of course, you don’t have to follow this exact layout, but it definitely makes it easier (and it makes sure you’re not gifting them all makeup items or all sweet treats). Everyone loves a good variety!
SOMETHING SWEET…
I feel like a sweet treat in any kind of Valentine’s Day basket is a non-negotiable! I know the actual holiday doesn’t revolve around chocolate and candy, but it only feels right to add something in to satisfy that sweet craving.
And if you know your friend isn’t a big chocolate or candy person, you can always go for a yummy drink or even a $5 gift card to their favorite café.
A FEW FUN ITEMS…
I call these “fun” items, but really they’re items that are pretty practical (well, maybe not the pig keychain haha). But everyone loves a good lip balm or some eye patches, so you really can’t go wrong with the basics.
I always find it easier to get items that I know my friends will use. Even if they seem like everyday items (like toiletries or makeup), if you choose a fun color for V-Day, everyone will love it!
And that way you don’t have to hope they use the items you’re giving them (if it’s something you know everyone already uses).
Step 4: Add in a Stuffer
Adding in a stuffer is such a great way to make your gift feel so much more full! There are usually a couple of gaps or empty spaces (especially if you chose the cup route), so using something like crinkle or tissue paper will make sure there aren’t any awkward holes or anything.
It’ll also help you keep your items in place and will help you arrange them a lot easier!
You can even choose a candy like pink M & Ms or pink Starburst to act as your “filler.” And you’ll get bonus points on the candy idea for originality (I don’t make the rules).
And there you have it! You’ve just created the cutest Valentines gift for your friends! Now all that’s left to do is surprise your besties with this amazing gift and watch their faces light up. 🙂
