All Posts, Home, Home Organization

Want to know the best ways to organize around your bathroom sink to maximise your space? Here are 17 brilliant bathroom sink organization ideas that will transform your space.

bathroom sink organization ideas

The space under your bathroom sink is one of those areas that starts out with good intentions and somehow ends up being a chaotic mess of products with no real system. Sound familiar?

The problem is not that you have too much stuff. It is that you do not have the right organizers to make the space actually work for you. And once you have the right setup in place, it is genuinely one of the easiest spaces in your home to keep consistently organized.

Here are 17 of the best under sink bathroom organization ideas to help you maximize every inch of that cabinet and create a setup that is both functional and actually aesthetic!

This post is all about the best bathroom sink organization ideas that will transform your space.

Best Bathroom Sink Organization Ideas:

1. Use Stackable Acrylic Drawers for Extras

Organizing under the small area under your bathroom sink can be tricky, but these acrylic drawers are a super simple way to categorise your toiletries and have easy access to all of your items.

I have a couple of these organizers under my sink that I use to store my extra skincare and makeup products that I don’t use everyday.

Especially if you have a lot of extra products or need to make up for the limited storage space in your bathroom, these stackable acrylic bins certainly provide ample storage space.

2. Free Up Space With an Adhesive Hair Dryer Holder

This organization idea is so smart I wish I discovered it sooner! It is also super simple and easy to replicate.

All you have to do is find a flat surface area in a bathroom cabinet or on the inside of your cabinet door under your bathroom sink.

This hair dryer holder is adhesive so it’s super easy to install as well as take off and you don’t have to worry about it damaging your cabinets.

I love how it has a slot for the hairdryer and a separate slot to organize the hairdryer cord. This is such a brilliant idea that will make your life so much easier when it comes to storing your hairdryer. And it takes up almost no space!

3. Use Towel Basket to Hold Extras

If you don’t know what to do with the space under your bathroom sink or maybe you just have extra space that you aren’t utilising, a great way to make use of it is to buy a couple of towel baskets or use baskets you already have around the house to store any extra towels for the bathroom.

While I don’t have enough room under my bathroom sink for a towel basket, this was the perfect use of space in my guest bath. That way if I have company over and they need a towel for the shower, they can just grab one from under the sink.

You can’t go wrong with a towel basket!

4. Give Your Hair Tools a Home of Their Own

If you have ever tried to store hair tools in a drawer, then you know the struggle of keeping all of the cords organized and not being able to store your hair tools until they have fully cooled down.

This organizer is the perfect thing to hold hairdryers, curling irons, straightening irons, etc. Plus, there is extra space in the front of this organizer to keep all of your favorite hair care products that you use for styling your hair.

I also love how cute this organizer is and you could definately store it on your vanity or bathroom counter to display. But, if you want to keep it out of the way, you can copy this organization idea by keeping under the sink with your other organizers.

This hair tool organizer is by far the best way I have found to store all of my hair tools and accessories!

5. Adjust Your Storage With a Sliding Tiered Organizer

This organizer is honestly one of my favorite ways to organize the products I don’t use everyday.

One of the best parts about this organizer, aside from being able to stack multiple on top of each other, you can adjust the heights of the baskets to fit your space perfectly.

This is one of the few organizers I have found where you can position the baskets and the height to cater to your space, making it a super useful and practical organizer for under your bathroom sink.

I love it so much I bought another one for under my kitchen sink!

And if you want to get your whole bathroom organized beyond just the under sink area, my bathroom counter organization ideas post is the perfect next step!

6. Add Printed Labels to Bins

When it comes to organizing anything, labels can make all of the difference. More often than not, I will choose a set of minimalist stickers from Amazon to use for each room or area I am organizing.

Not only does it make finding what your looking for 100x easier, but these labels look effortlessly clean and make whatever space you’re organizing instantly more put together.

Don’t underestimate the power of labels when it comes to organizing!

7. Use an Acrylic Caddy to Keep Everyday Products Easy to Reach

Acrylic caddies like this one are such a multifunctional organizing piece that you can truly make use of anywhere in your house.

It makes it super easy to access all of your items without having to move the organizer or take out products to see what’s in the back. Talk about an efficient organizer!

This acrylic lazy susan also comes in a ton of different sizes to fit your bathroom space.

8. Double Space With Three-Tier Organizers

Copy this organization idea:

If you have the space, this three-tier organizer will give you the most room to store and display all of your products.

I wouldn’t use this organizer for smaller products, but for shower products and other items that come in large bottles or packaging, this organizer has the space to keep it organized.

Whenever I am at Target or Sephora, sometimes I will buy an extra of my skincare or haircare products to have on hand so I am not out of luck when I run out. This tiered organizer is just the thing to store those extra products!

Plus, it is super sturdy so you don’t have to worry about any products being too heavy.

9. Use an Over-the-Cabinet Organizer for Easy Access to Everyday Items

Copy this organization idea:

Over-the-cabinet organizers are a game changer! And the secret to giving yourself more storage space under your bathroom sink while still keeping everything tidy.

I think this idea is especially good for holding your everyday skincare staples so you don’t have to crowd your counter with them, or have to dig through the depths of your underground sink just to find what you’re looking for.

10. Maximize Deep Cabinets With Pull Out Drawers

Copy this organization idea:

If your cabinet is deep and you’re constantly getting on your hands and knees to dig around in the back, a pull-out drawer is going to change your life. It slides the whole back half of your cabinet forward so you can actually see and reach everything, instead of shoving your arm behind the pipes and hoping for the best.

I love keeping my everyday products here, like body wash, dry shampoo, and hair spray, so they’re always right at the front and ready to grab. It’s a small upgrade that feels a little fancy but genuinely maximizes every inch of a deep cabinet.

11. Free Up Shelf Space With a Tension Rod

Copy this organization idea:

If you have extra space under your bathroom sink, adding a tension rod is such an easy (and cheap!) way to free up shelf space for the things that actually need it. Install it toward the back or top of the cabinet and hang spray bottles or extra soap refills right from the rod using their handles or trigger necks.

It keeps bulky bottles from taking over your shelves and makes it so much easier to see and reach everything else stored underneath. This is one of those ideas that seems almost too simple, but it makes a genuinely huge difference in how much usable space you actually have.

12. Categorize Organizers and Drawers by Item Type

This is hands-down one of the best ways to stop the never-ending hunt for a hair tie or the right claw clip. Instead of tossing everything into one big bin, use a divided drawer (or a few small bins) to give every category its own little home: clips in one section, headbands in another, jewelry in a third.

It takes maybe five extra minutes to sort everything the first time, but it saves you so much time every single morning after. Plus, it’s just so satisfying opening the drawer and having everything exactly where it belongs.

13. Dedicate Small Drawers to Flat Essentials

Copy this organization idea:

Flat items like flushable wipes and cotton pads are notorious for turning into a messy pile if you just toss them in a regular bin. The fix is giving them their own shallow drawer where they can lie flat and stay stacked neatly, so you can grab exactly one at a time instead of pulling out a handful.

It’s such a small tweak, but it’s one of those things that makes a shelf look instantly more put together, and it means you’re never digging around trying to find the last wipe at the bottom of a jumbled bin.

14. Work Around Your Pipes With Mixed-Height Containers

Copy this organization idea:

When you’re working around a pipe, height matters more than you’d think. Use the taller drawers along the sides of the cabinet where you’ve got full clearance, and save a shorter container for directly under the pipe so it can slide in without bumping into anything.

It sounds like a small detail, but it’s what lets you use every inch of that awkward middle space instead of leaving it empty just because a tall drawer wouldn’t fit there.

15. Add an Adhesive Cup for Makeup Brushes

Copy this organization idea:

A small stick-on cup on the inside of your door is such an easy way to keep makeup brushes or styling tools upright and dust-free, without using up any shelf space at all. It’s such a tiny addition, but it makes accessing your makeup brushes easy, while keeping them out of the way.

16. Hang Hair Tools With Command Hooks

Copy this organization idea:

Command hooks are such an easy upgrade for the inside of your cabinet door. Hang your hair dryer by the handle, loop the cord around a second hook so it’s not just dangling, and add one more for a round brush or two.

No drilling, no damage to the door, and everything is exactly where you’ll actually reach for it. Pair it with a small wire basket underneath to catch hairsprays and mousses, and suddenly the inside of your door is doing just as much work as the shelf itself.

And if you are working with a small bathroom, my small bathroom organization ideas post has some really clever space maximizing tips worth checking out!

17. Use Shallow Bins to Hold Tall Products

Copy this organization idea:

Once you’ve got your stackable drawers set up, you’ll probably still have a few bigger bottles left over: think full-size shampoo, conditioner, or lotion. That’s where a shallow acrylic bin comes in.

Slide it right in front of your drawers to corral those larger items so they’re not just loose on the shelf. It’s a small addition, but it keeps the whole setup looking finished instead of like an afterthought.
